Pictures of damaged ticket rooms and washrooms, X-ray machines that emerged today spoke volume of vandalism unleashed by the protesting farmers.

On Tuesday, the agitating farmers ran riot and unleashed violence at several places including Red Fort and ITO in the city. The epicentre was at the Red Fort where chaos reigned for hours as the protesting farmers laid siege to the iconic Mughal-era monument and hurled the Nishan Sahib flag atop a minaret.

A day later, it comes to light that they not only hoisted their flag but also vandalised properties inside the complex. Pictures of damaged ticket rooms and washrooms, X-ray machines emerged today, sparking anger over the hooliganism by protesting farmers.

Meanwhile, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel visited the Red Fort to take stock of the damage caused by farmers who stormed the monument. The minister has sought a report on the incident.

“I do not want to say anything on the issue yet. I have sought a report, let it come,” Patel said. Later in a tweet, he said the authorities have been asked to take legal action against the persons involved in the incident.
