AirAsia India, a joint venture between Tata Sons Private Limited and AirAsia Investment Limited. has joined Operation Ganga to evacuate the Indians from the war-hit Ukraine.
AirAsia India Spokesperson said: “AirAsia India is privileged to join hands with the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to bring back stranded Indians as part of the repatriation efforts. Today, our maiden rescue flight under Operation Ganga, has departed from Suceava to New Delhi carrying over 170 guests safely. We look forward to supporting the Government’s effort in this noble cause with a few more evacuation flights.”
Headquartered in Bengaluru, India, AirAsia India Limited is a joint venture between Tata Sons Private Limited and AirAsia Investment Limited. AirAsia India commenced operations on 12th June 2014 and flies over 50 direct and 100 connecting routes across India.
