Ambuja Cements organise green campaign on Hareli Tihar in Chhattisgarh

Ambuja Cements Limited, Rawan unit of Adani Group, took an inspiring initiative towards environmental protection and organized a massive tree plantation program on the auspicious occasion of ‘Hareli Tihar’.

The program was held at the Maldi-Mopar limestone mine complex under the national campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. District Forest Officer of Balodabazar-Bhatapara Ganvir Dhammashil was the chief guest at the function. He was welcomed by the Unit Head of Ambuja Cements, Rawan unit by presenting a flower bouquet.

Sarpanchs of nearby Gram Panchayats, public representatives, citizens, officers and employees of Ambuja Cements were also present in large numbers in the event and expressed their commitment towards the environment by planting trees collectively.

The head of the mine of Ambuja Cements, Rawan, while sharing the information about the work being done by the company for environmental protection, said that a total of 70,000 plants would be planted in the year 2025-26, which includes various species.

Dhammashil, in his address, praised the massive tree plantation being done by the company and said, “Protection of the environment is not the responsibility of any one institution, but of every citizen. If every person plants a tree and takes care of it, then the coming generations can get a clean and healthy future.” He also appealed to the villagers to join the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and play an active role.
