Union Minister for Home Amit Shah on Thursday lashed out at Congress and said excessive religious conversion had taken place during the party’s rule in Chhattisgarh.
Addressing Bharatiya Janata Party Vijay Sankalp Maharally, in the meetings of Bagicha of Jashpur, Kunkuri, Dabhra of Janjgir Champa, religious conversion had taken place disproportionately in Chhattisgarh during the five-year rule of Congress. “BJP promises that this is Judeo Ji’s work place, they will not allow forced conversion of any tribal brother or sister here,” Shah said while recalling former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Dilip Singh Judeo, who ran Ghar Vapsi Abhiyan to reconvert the converted Christians.
Shah said that the first phase of voting had been held in Chhattisgarh and it was clear that Congress had been wiped out in the first phase of elections. “It has been confirmed that the BJP government is going to be formed in Chhattisgarh in the coming days,” Shah said.
Chhattisgarh is the maternal birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. Should a temple be built at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya or not? Shah asked. “The Congress government was stalling, deviating, delaying the issue of Ram Janmabhoomi for 70 years,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan of Shri Ram Temple and is also going to consecrate Shri Ram Temple on January 22, 2024.
The party has said in its manifesto that the BJP government of Chhattisgarh will ensure darshan of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya to all those who have BPL cards in Chhattisgarh. The Union Home Minister said that the five years of Congress rule in Chhattisgarh was a rule of corruption.
When the central government sent Chandrayaan to the Moon, it expressed its reverence for Lord Shankar by naming that point ‘Shiv Shakti’, but the Congress government of Chhattisgarh started gambling and betting in the name of Mahadev App, he said. The Congress government of the state should feel ashamed of this. At least they would have left Mahadev, Shah added.
