Union Home Minister Amit Shah Thursday kicked off BJP’s campaign for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections in Champa-Janjgir, urging people to ensure a third term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a mammoth gathering at the high school ground, Shah said that the upcoming elections would decide the future of the country. This is an election to develop the country and make it a world leader. “Bring back Modi ji, we will become the third power of the world,” Shah exhorted.
Amit Shah said he had come for the victory resolution shankhnaad rally for the Lok Sabha elections. Chhattisgarh bestowed 10 out of 11 seats to the BJP in 2014, 9 out of 11 seats in 2019, he said, adding that now the government that did injustice to the people of Chhattisgarh was removed in the recently concluded state polls.
The Union Home Minister said the Congress government in Chhattisgarh neither controlled Naxalism nor stopped corruption. Shah said that he had come to Lord Ram’s maternal home. “Chhattisgarh is the maternal birthplace of Ram. Modi ji ended the wait of 500 years. Ram temple was built in Ayodhya and Ram Lalla was consecrated,” he said.
Only a few days had passed since the government was formed in Chhattisgarh and Vishnu Deo Sai’s government had started the work of fulfilling Modi’s guarantee.
Earlier, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the gathering and said that they had started taking steps towards fulfilling Modi’s guarantee. He said two years’ bonus amount had been transferred to the accounts of the farmers while the state government purchased 21 quintals of paddy and will soon give the remaining amount. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is also being implemented in the state. “We have to make Modi ji the Prime Minister again by winning all the 11 seats of Chhattisgarh this time,” Sai added.
Along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, BJP State President Kiran Singh Dev, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Vijay Sharma, Minister in-charge of the district and Chhattisgarh’s Finance Minister O P Choudhary, former Minister Rajesh Munat and other senior BJP leaders of the district were present on the stage.
