Led by its Mentor Smt Chandana Kumari and President Smt Ayesha Mishra, Arpita Mahila Samiti of NTPC Nava Raipur celebrated the colourful festival of Teej with fervor and gaiety on Sunday.
Held at NTPC Nava Raipur Office, the event witnessed the participation of enthusiastic ladies club members who looked vibrant in their traditional attire while performing dance and singing folk songs. The major attraction of the celebration was Kajari, fun games and Teej Queen competition.
Later, the dignitaries presented Teej Queen to Smt Anubha Tiwari (in the age group of above 40) and Smt Isha Gupta (in the age group of below 40) besides presenting other awards to the winners.
Earlier, Smt Ayesha Mishra, President, Arpita Mahila Samiti spoke on the significance of the Teej celebration. She appreciated all for their enthusiastic participation ant celebrating the colorful Teej festival in its true spirit.
The occasion was also marked with the introduction of new Committee followed by welcome address by Smt Swati Gokhale, General Secretary. Smt Smita Gokhe, Senior Member; Smt Pubali Ghosh, Senior Member; Smt Nidhi Garg, Coordinator; Smt Durga Kumari Kasina, Coordinator and other office bearers and members of Arpita Mahila Samiti were present on the occasion.
