The two-day vibrant Mela ‘Swarnanjali’ was organized by Arpita Mahila Samiti of NTPC Nava Raipur on January 25-26, 2025.
Held at NTPC Nava Raipur, the Mela not only reflected the brighter side of the ladies club but also promoted local talent and entrepreneurs besides celebrating the vibrant cultural mosaic of the region.
P K Mishra, RED (WR-II & Ash NI), inaugurated the mela and termed it ‘celebration of culture, community and creativity besides promoting rich and diversified cultural heritage of India’.
Smt Ayesha Mishra, President, Arpita Mahila Samiti; U H Gokhe, ED (USSC); Smt Smita Gokhe, Sr Madam, Arpita Mahila Samiti; CGMs, GMs, office bearers of Arpita Mahila Samiti and others graced the occasion.
Held first time in NTPC Nava Raipur with concerted efforts from members of Arpita Mahila Samiti under the leadership of its President, the Mela houses around 40 stalls and showcases the rich flavours of India through various food items, Game stalls, Self Help Group Stalls and stalls by ladies club members
displaying their creation. Additionally, stalls featuring ethnic handicrafts, handlooms, organic food items, furniture, Education Institutions, Bank, Automobile, Ornament and other useful items added to the diverse array of offerings.
Mishra accompanied with senior officials and office bearers of Arpita Mahila Samiti inspected the stalls and expressed his satisfaction for the diversified offerings.
The highlight of the mela was the state-wise food stalls representing the diversity of India, much to the delight of the food lovers. Adding flavour to the mela, local cultural performance like Rawat Nacha and Panthi coupled with traditional dance by in-house talent enriched the event’s cultural fabric and of
course captivated the gathering from across the age group.
The occasion also marked with distribution of Blanket by Arpita Mahila samiti among the needy persons besides Bumper Lucky Draw and Housie.
