Ranchi, October 26
B Sairam took charge as the new Director Technical (P&P) of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) on Wednesday.
CMD, CCL P M Prasad welcomed him to the CCL family. Prasad said that he was confident that under the guidance of Sairam, the company will attain new heights of success and continue fulfilling the energy aspirations of the country.
Director Technical (Op) R B Prasad, Director (Personnel) H N Mishra along with Director (Finance) P K Mishra were also present on the occasion.
S K Gomasta was serving as Director Technical (P&P), CCL prior to Shri Sairam assuming charge.
Sairam is a graduate mining engineer from NIT Raipur. He has 31 years of experience in the coal
sector, having worked in different capacities in mine operations, planning, logistics and regulatory
aspects.
He did a 15-month full-time residential PGDM in Energy Management at NTPC School of
Business Delhi. As part of the course, he underwent a 15-days’ immersion program at Nanyang Business
School Singapore He was part of the team that travelled to Germany and Poland to study the Just Energy
Transition efforts of those countries. He has the experience of heading the divisions of Employee
Welfare, Public Relations and Legal as well.
Before joining as Director (Technical) CCL, he served as
Executive Director at CIL. After taking charge, Shri Sairam interacted with the employees of the
company.
