Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said Baba Guru Ghasidas’ message had always been of peace and harmony in the society.

Sai was interacting with the members of the Satnami community in the backdrop of violence that erupted in Balodabazar on Monday after some miscreants vandalised Jaitkham, a pious symbol of the community near Amar Gufa in Mahkoni village of Giroudpuri. The community follows the Satnam Dharma founded by Guru Ghasidas.

The state government has announced a judicial inquiry into the entire matter. On Tuesday night, Sai held a high level meeting with the senior members of the community and took stock of the situation.
