On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, the idol of Goddess Durga was installed with great fervour and grandeur at the Durga Puja pandal at Sector-3 in Balconagar.
The CEO and Director of BALCO, Rajesh Kumar inaugurated the Puja. He along with other members of the BALCO family offered prayers to Goddess Durga, seeking blessings for the continuous progress and prosperity for the company, its employees and family besides the region.
The residents of Balconagar offered prayers at the Pandal, installed by the Balconagar Public Durga Puja Committee, with great devotion. The pandal, replicating the grandeur of the iconic Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, was a magnificent blend of faith and artistry. People are thronging to have the glimpses of the Pandal.
The Durga Puja celebration in Sector-3 has become a cherished cultural and spiritual tradition of Balconagar. This year, the event enters its 55th year of its glorious tradition.
