“Bastar Rising” campaign to begin from October 8

Raipur, October 7

The Department of Public Relations, Government of Chhattisgarh, in collaboration with the district administrations of all seven districts of Bastar Division, is set to launch a special campaign titled “Bastar Rising” from October 8. The fortnight-long campaign will be organized across all seven districts of the division.

The initiative aims to bring Bastar’s cultural richness, environmental strengths, and entrepreneurial potential to the national stage. During the campaign, dialogues, workshops, and cultural programmes will be held, engaging experts, youth, artisans, and local communities.

The “Bastar Rising” caravan will travel through Keshkal, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Dantewada, Bijapur, Chitrakot, Barsur, and Jagdalpur. Special focus will be laid on exploring opportunities in art, handicrafts, agriculture, tourism, sports, and education.

The campaign will conclude in Raipur with “Harmony Fest 2025”, where inspiring stories, innovations, and the cultural heritage of Bastar will be showcased. The festival will be themed “Dil Mela – Dil Mein La” (Bring the Fair into the Heart), highlighting the spirit of inclusivity, creativity, and celebration.
