Dr Mohsin Wali, who was the personal physician of three consecutive Presidents, paid tribute to noted litterateur Dr Bhagwati Sharan Mishra on his second death anniversary.
He said, the writer, who irrigated and enriched the art of expression, is a great gift for Hindi lovers. Paying tributes to the legendary and historical novelist, Dr Wali, who was personal physician to three Presidents including R Venkataraman, Shankar Dayal Sharma and Pranab Mukherjee, said, “Bhagwati Sharan Mishra was a veteran writer of Hindi literature and novels. He enriched the art of sublime thoughts and expression.”
He will be remembered across the globe as he has made a permanent place in the hearts of Hindi lovers. Not only did he write more than 100 works, high quality novels, stories, articles and poems, but most of them were also awarded the highest literary awards, Dr Wali said, adding that among his books Pehla Suraj, Pawan Putra, Purushottam, Gobinda Gatha and Padmanetra are the most popular.
He added many of his series are now being included in research curricula in many universities. Hindi lovers will always remember him for his contribution.
Paying tributes to Dr Mishra, former news editor and writer of news agency United News of India (UNIVARTA), Deepak Bisht said, “He was a shining star in the sky of writing. Along with being a successful administrative officer, by making unprecedented contributions in the world of literature, he proved that victory can be achieved only when there is a combination of passion with ability to do any work.”
Bisht added, to say anything about him would be showing a lamp to the sun. “In the field of writing, he guided me by holding my finger, that’s all I can say,” he said.
It is notable that Dr Mishra died on 27 August 2021 at the age of 81 years.
