Raipur, January 7
SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant recorded its best ever saleable steel production for the April to December nine month period in current fiscal year.
All time high loading of saleable steel was also recorded for the period during April-Dec 21. Several finishing mills also recorded all time high production.
The Plant’s Plate Mill recorded highest ever boiler quality production of 93,179 Tonnes during April-Dec 21, surpassing previous best of 75,794 T recorded during April-Dec period of FY 2017-18.
Modex unit, Universal Rail Mill recorded highest ever finished rail production of 5,09,838 T during April-Dec 21, surpassing previous best of 5,06,761 T recorded in corresponding period of FY 2020-21.
Bar & Rod Mill, another Modex unit recorded highest ever production of 5,10,299 T as against previous best of 2,37,920 T recorded in corresponding period of FY 2020-21.
Total Saleable Steel production at 34,26,790 T in April-Dec 21 has been the highest ever for the period, surpassing previous best of 33,97,583 T recorded in corresponding period of FY 2013-14. Loading of saleable steel at 34,67,564 T during April-Dec 21 was also the highest, surpassing previous best of 33,64,115 T recorded in corresponding period of FY 2013-14. Loading for direct despatches at 18,30,622 T has also been the highest as against previous best of 16,28,645 T recorded in corresponding period of FY 2019-20.
