Bhilai’s Shruti Menon bags ‘ISA’s Wings of Steel’ award

Shruti Menon has been conferred Indian Steel Association’s ‘Wings of Steel’ award under the ‘Gender and Diversity’ category.

She received the award from Union Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia at New Delhi. Shruti Menon is currently working as Manager (Bar and Rod Mill) at SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant.

Shruti Menon is an acclaimed Engineer and she has also shown her prowess at her leadership skills. She has groomed her team towards achieving excellence and inspired them towards facing challenges. She has also proven to work towards equality in workplace and society and positive change at the workplace and beyond.

Only 6 eligible candidates are conferred this award for their talent, leadership and contribution to the Steel sector. Three nominees are shortlisted from each Company for this award. A High level Evaluation Committee then selects the winner for the award.

Shruti Menon has proven herself in various parameters and made SAIL BSP proud by winning this award.

Soma Mondal, Chairman SAIL, Mukesh Gupta, CGM (BRM) and other senior officials have congratulated Shruti on this achievement.

Shruti Menon’s husband V Nivesh is currently working as Manager (Pers.-P & E) at Bhilai Steel Plant.
