Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel called on Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Arup Kumar Goswami at the state guest house on Sunday.
A high-level meeting that followed mulled over the implementation of e-courts projects using the advanced Information Technology. Chhattisgarh Law Minister Mohammed Akbar, Registrar General of Chhattisgarh High Court Sanjay Jaiswal, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo were present in the meeting.
A state government spokesperson said the progress of implementing the e-court and e-challan were discussed during the meeting that also elaborated on extensive use of Information Technology (IT) in the courtroom working. The possibility of doctors appearing in the court through video conference and improving facilities in the courts across the state were also explored during the discussion.
Chhattisgarh has already started working to launch the Virtual Court for online payment of traffic challan. Jain recently held a high-level meeting of officials concerned to give final shape to the proposal.
