Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today suspended Executive Engineer of water resources department for showing laxity in discharging his official duties.
The officer, Umashankar Ram was posted in the Office of Superintending Engineer of the Shyam Barnai Project Circle in Ambikapur.
The Chief Minister today visited Ramanujganj assembly constituency as part of his Bhent-Mulaqat campaign launched Wednesday to visit all the 90 assembly constituencies to know the ground reality of governance.
During a meeting held at Sanawal in Ramanujganj assembly constituency of Balrampur district, Chief Minister received complaint regarding Umashankar showing negligence in the work of speedy disposal of land acquisition cases under Kanhar Inter-State Project. Taking a serious note, Chief Minister said that protecting the interests of the farmers who gave their land for this ambitious irrigation project is paramount; negligence in this work will not be tolerated in any case.
During the suspension period, Uma Shankar Ram would be deputed in the office of Chief Engineer Minimata Hasdeo (Bango) project Bilaspur.
The Chief Minister made several announcements in response to the demands of the villagers. Swami Atmanand English medium school will be opened in Daura and a college will established in Ranhat. Besides, cCulverts to be built on Sasu river and from Daldhowa to Saraswati bridgePower substation to be established between Daura and Ganesh Mod.
People of village Khanda will soon have access to road connectivity and electricity supply as Baghel gave instructions to build a road in Pauni-Pendri.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly-built Tehsil office at Daura-Kochli.
He was informed that under the Narva Yojana water is available in Bairamu Nala and Sargadi Nala round the year.
The Chief Minister took the feedback from the beneficiaries of Kisan Nyay Yojana, Bhumiheen Mazdoor Nyay Yojana.
