Ignoring controversial statements from the Opposition leaders, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday started his Pragati Yatra from Tharuhat in Champaran district.
Two Ministers from BJP Ms Renu Devi and Janak Ram joined him at Bettiah. This is his 15th annual Yatra of Nitish Kumar since he took over as the Chief Minister of Bihar.
In a post in the social media platform X, Kumar said: “The state government is committed to the progress of Bihar and to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bihar. ‘Pragati Yatra’ is starting from today to see the progress of implementation of various development schemes in the state and to solve the problems of the people.”
Kumar added that today, the first phase of ‘Pragati Yatra’ was started from Tharuhat, located in Santpur Sohariya Panchayat of West Champaran district. During the journey, the progress of developmental works done through various schemes was reviewed. During this, 41 schemes worth Rs 172.19817 crore were inaugurated and foundation stone was laid in Tharu Tola Ghotwa.
The Chief Minister talked to the local people and listened to their problems and directed the officials to resolve them as soon as possible.
