Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday welcomed the announcement of the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah that an early mid-term elections will be held in Bihar.
Nitish said here he was prepared for the an early mid-term elections. Talking to media persons at the statute of former Prime Minister of Mauritius, Sir Shivsagar Ram Gulam at Gandhi Maidan, Nitish said Centre has right to hold early elections, Bihar is ready for that and hoped the Lok Sabha elections are also held earlier than next year.
Nitish said JDU would react in the Parliament during the debate on the Bill relating to amendments in the CEC and EC appointments Bill are presented. Prime Minister and a senior cabinet member is proposed to be included in the selection process.
Reacting to the claim of Amit Shah that RJD-JDU alliance was like adulteration of water with oil, he said alliance in Bihar is intact and with the co-operation of Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav state has developed fast. Tejashwi, who was presented said, “There is no problem, no rift in the alliance.”
