RJD leaders are descendants of Demons: Union Minister Ashwini Chaubey

Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar Yadav is in trouble for his controversial comments on Ram Charit Manas and a section of the RJD leaders are not defending him though the state Party Chief, Jagdanand Singh claimed entire party was with him.
Minister’s resignation or dismissal has been demanded by the BJP leaders and JDU leaders demanded minister to withdraw the comments.
Union Minister of State for Forest, Environment and Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Chaubey, who represents Buxar in Lok Sabha called the JD leaders’ descendants of Mariich, Subahu and Tadka, all mythological demon characters in Ram Charit Manas. Chaubey said, “Those hurting the sentiments of Hindus and attacking the religion will be finished”. Chaubey was on 24 hours fast at Buxar and continued Ram Charit Manas reading throughout.
Upendra Kumar Kushwaha, Chairman of the parliamentary board of JDU, today admitted the statement of education minister has damaged JDU too since it is a partner in alliance with RJD. Kushwaha admitted minister’s controversial statement gave an issue to the BJP and party started exploiting it.
National Vice President of RJD, Shivanand Tiwary on Saturday advised the State Party Chief, Jagdanand Singh to resign since he was not following the RJD stand on Ram Charit Manas and supported the minister’s statement. He regretted Jagdanand Singh issued statement claiming entire RJD was with the minister, though no decision was taken on the issue. He claimed Singh issued the statement without consulting Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav who was authorised by Lalu Prasad to speak on controversial subjects. Since he has violated the party president directive, he should quit.
Spokesman of RJD Shakti Yadav today said, “Ram Sabhi ke hain (Ram is for every one). Ram Charit Manas is a holy book. He did not defend the minister who has been isolated in the party and the Grand Alliance.
Ashok Kumar Chaudhury, PWD minister who was earlier education minister quoted several verses from Ram Charit Manas to suggest Ram practiced equality for all, an egalitarian society and hatred for none, but the minister claimed Ram Charit Manas spread hatred. He asked the ministerial colleague to withdraw his statements made at the 15th annual convocation of Nalanda Open University here on January 11.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi asked the Governor to dismiss the minister for his controversial comments and his prosecution for creating hatred against the Hindus.
Neeraj Kumar, senior JDU leader and former minister visited Hanuman Temple with his supporters and recited verses from Ram Charit Manas to substantiate his claim that Manas was not spreading hatred as alleged by Chandra Shekhar.
Complaints have been filed against the minister at Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, Kishanganj and Patna civil courts alleging he has hurt the sentiments of followers of Hinduism.
