Nawada police will take action against the members of Kannauj village panchayat for its action of inadequate punishment to owner of a poultry farm owner who has been booked under POSCO on Wednesday.
The village panchayat on Wednesday allowed the poultry farm owner, Arun Pandit to freely move after asking him to follow punishment of just five sit ups.
The punishment was not appreciated by mother of the five years old girl, victim of offences under POSCO and she filed an FIR with Akbarpur police station, 150 km from here.
Mother had complained earlier too against Arun alleging her daughter while playing near a flour mill was lured to the poultry farm and physically exploited. On November 20, Arun had picked up the girl on his lap, which was strongly objected by the mother.
She has alleged Arun used to take her daughter to the poultry farm and offered biscuits and chocolates.
Dr Gaurav Mangla, district SP of Nawada said today police registered an FIR against Arun as a video of his seducing the girl had gone viral. He said police are in search of the poultry farm owner.
He said action would be taken against the panchayat members who gave protection to the accused and tried to cover up the crime against the child.
