Birthday greetings and wishes poured in for Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel who on Tuesday completed 61.
“Birthday wishes to Chhattisgarh CM Shri @bhupeshbaghel Ji. Praying for his long and healthy life,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also joined him.
The Chief Minister cut a cake with family members to start the celebration. Later, his cabinet colleagues and officials of the state government poured in at his residence to greet him.
Chhattisgarh’s senior most minister T S Singh Deo, Rajya Sabha member Ranjeet Ranjan, State Congress President Mohan Markam were among the Congress legislators and leaders to greet Baghel.
An open house was organised at the Chief Minister residence from 11 am to 1 pm for the common people to participate in the celebration. Besides differently-abled, representatives from a good number of social organisations also turned up to wish Bhupesh Baghel on his birthday.
A number of events have been organised in different parts of the state including capital city to mark the occasion.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel thanked everyone and expressed his gratitude for extending birthday greetings and wishes.
