After attending a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J P Nadda along with the Chief Ministers of 12 BJP-ruled states today visited Ayodhya and offered prayers at the ‘Ram Lalla’ during visit to the Ram Temple construction site.
The Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers along with spouse were on a visit to Uttar Pradesh in connection with the meeting of the Prime Minister. Modi, who was on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, chaired a meeting with the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states in Varanasi.
The BJP chief has landed in Varanasi on Sunday ahead of the inauguration of phase 1 of the newly-constructed Kashi Vishwanath Dham by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He led the team to visit the holy city of Ayodhya after Varanasi. The members visited Saryu Ghat, Hanuman Garhi temple and upcoming magnificent temple of Shri Ram. They visited the site where the officials briefed about the marvellous temple.
Since the state is going to the polls in next couple of months, the group’s visit has also assumed political significance.
