Amidst the on-going session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha on Tuesday evening left for New Delhi on a short notice.

The budget session of Bihar assembly is underway. In fact, Sinha did not conduct the proceedings of the House Tuesday following heated exchange of words with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday.

During the Question Hour yesterday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar lost his cool and angrily charged the Speaker, Vijay Kumar Sinha with violating Constitution provisions. Speaker reciprocated by alleging Chief Minister was attempting to demoralise the Chair.

The clash between the Chief Minister and the Speaker inside the House became a buzz in the political corridor. Many saw it as Nitish Kumar’s volley against his ally as the Speaker belonged to the BJP.

According to the BJP headquarters here, Sinha has been summoned by the party high-command.  Earlier, two Ministers from BJP including Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad and Health Minister Mangal Pandey met Chief Minister to bring peace between him and speaker.

They were joined Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhury and Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, both from the JDU.
