Bolani Ore Mines (BOM) under Odisha Group of Mines (OGOM) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has recorded its best ever departmental production and despatch in the month of July 2024 thus setting a new benchmark in its production history.
Bolani Ore Mines produced best ever 4.61 Lakh tons lumps and fines departmentally in July, 2024 surpassing its earlier best figure of 4.44 Lakh tons registered in July, 2021. The cumulative departmental production of lumps and fines between April to July 2024 has also reached an all time high of 24.01 Lakh tons.
The impressive performance was also reflected in the dispatch front. Bolani Ore Mines clocked its highest-ever department specific dispatch of 6.71 lakh tons in July 2024, exceeding the previous record of 6.43 lakh tons from July 2021. The cumulative departmental dispatch from April to July 2024 also reached a record-breaking 25.71 lakh tons. Besides, BOM dispatched 51 rakes of fines to Steel Plants for conversion into pellets.
