Bolani Ores Mines (BOM) under the Odisha Group of Mines (OGoM) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has registered the record-breaking monthly dispatch of 7.20 lakh Tonnes of Iron Ore in August, 2024.
The Mines surpassed its previous best monthly Iron Ore dispatch of 7.17 Lakh tonnes achieved in March, 2021. BOM also clocked the highest ever fines dispatch of 4.83 Lakh tonnes in August, 2024 thereby improving upon its earlier Best figure of 3.71 Lakh tonnes achieved in August, 2023. Besides, the Mines sent 57 rakes of fines for conversion into pellets.
It has also started sending dump fines by Rake for beneficiation and subsequent conversion into pellets for RSP. The excellent performance has been a reflection of the dedicated efforts of the team BOM with active support from Raw Materials Group and Rail Movement Cell under the guidance of Alok Verma, ED (Mines) and Mr. Joydev Chattopadhyay, CGM (BOM).
Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, RSP commended the Mines team for their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to sustain the performance with a continued emphasis on safety and quality.
