Satish Chandra Budakoti, Inspector General (IG), Frontier Headquarter (Special Ops) of the Border Security Force in Odisha visited Koraput district and reviewed the security arrangements in the red zone.
The visit started on August 20. Budakoti visited SOG Campus at Koraput on Monday and witnessed preparedness for training of recently inducted BSF troops in Anti Naxal Operations.
Earlier, on Sunday, Budakoti accompanied by Madan Lal, DIG BSF Sector Koraput along with other senior BSF officials visited the BSF Camps in Koraput, Khumbariput, Kumbhari, Bandhugaon, Narayanpatna, Porhapadar, Pallur and Laxmipur. He took stock of the security measures on the Odisha-Andhra Border.
The IG interacted with the troops and appreciated the efforts, domination round the clock despite harsh and inhospitable terrain. He emphasized on preparedness of operations during heavy rains in monsoon.
The IG said, “BSF plays very important role along with State Administration thereby expediting the ongoing development projects in the area and asked to maintain cordial relation with local populace”.
