C Neelakanta Reddy, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) from the 1997 batch, assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NMDC Limited, India’s largest Iron ore producer on 27th October 2025.

In a career spanning over two decades with Indian Railways, Reddy has played a key role in maintaining and modernizing systems essential for train operations on high-density routes. He has extensive experience in planning, designing, and executing infrastructure projects to enhance capacity and improve safety.

During his tenure with South Central Railway, Shri Reddy held several key positions and was involved in areas such as corporate coordination, human resource management, capital budgeting, supply chain management, delegation of powers, arbitration, transformation initiatives and safety audits.

In his previous posting at the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), he played a key role in conceptualizing and conducting skill development training programs for railway personnel and industry executives on modern technology systems.

An alumnus of Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering, Tirupati, Shri Reddy has also attended advanced management training programs at ICLIF Kuala Lumpur, INSEAD Singapore, and the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
