Central Coalfields Limited (CIL) organized a workshop on “Latest Vigilance Practices in Vogue” at Convention Center, New Building, Darbhanga House, Ranchi on Thursday.
Former Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Coal India Ltd S K Sadangi was the keynote speaker. CVO, CIL L Chandrasekar, CVO BCCL Kumar Animesh, CVO ECL M K Mishra and CVO CCL S K Sinha were present. The four Directors of CCL- Ram Baboo Prasad, S K Gomasta and HN Mishra, P K Mishra, Area General Managers from respective areas along with their team, GMs and HODs from headquarters too were present.
Welcoming the participants, CMD, CCL P M Prasad welcomed everybody and said that programs like these serve as a great knowledge sharing platform. He expressed confidence that all the participants would benefit from the experiences of the esteemed speakers. He stated that the company is committed to augmenting transparency in operations.
Delivering the keynote address, Ex CVO CIL Sadangi shared his experiences and anecdotes from the professional journey during the speech. He further dwelled on the significance of data collection, monitoring and analysis in policy making and evaluation. He further added that probity and integrity are paramount in public service. Sadangi stated that by applying logic and reasoning, various complicated issues can be solved. He said that through minute alterations in procedures and policies, CIL saved money in tunes of hundreds of crores.
CVO CIL L Chandrasekar also spoke on the topic. He further stressed the importance of environmental conservation and preservation. He said that all efforts should be undertaken to promote sustainable mining. He further focused on the importance of being alert and vigilant while discharging duties.
An interactive session also took place where the participants raised their queries and questions, which were answered by Sadangi along with other speakers.
CVO BCCL and CMPFO Kumar Animesh and Mukesh Kumar Mishra,.CVO ECL and WCL also shared their experiences on various vigilance matters and stressed on the need to strengthen the control and monitoring mechanism in operational and dispatch activities which eventually results in big revenue shavings and also vigilance cases get minimized.
Delivering the vote of thanks CVO CCL S K Sinha expressed his gratitude to all the speakers and the participants attending the event. He further added that the company will be organizing such workshops in future for the benefit of the employees.
Chief Manager, CMD Sect Priyaranjan anchored the entire event. GM Vigilance Shri S.G. Choudhary, TS to CVO Shri Shashank Sharan and other employees of the vigilance department played a vital role in the success of the program
