In a significant step towards promoting skill development and enhancing employability among local youth, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) successfully concluded a skill development training programme under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Ranchi. A certificate distribution ceremony was organized today marking the successful completion of the 5th batch of the skill development training programme .
The programme was conducted under a MoU between CIPET and CCL with the objective of providing structured skill development training to local youth and enhancing their employability. As per the MoU, a total of 180 youths were to be trained. Four batches had already been successfully completed earlier, and with the completion of the 5th batch today, the entire training programme has been successfully concluded.
Under the free four-month training programme, 35 trainees were imparted training in the Machine Operator – Injection Moulding (MO-IM) trade. On successful completion of the programme, certificates were distributed to all trainees. Significantly, 31 trainees from the batch have already been provided placement opportunities in various reputed plastics manufacturing companies, reflecting the effectiveness of the training initiative.
The programme was attended by senior officials from both CCL and CIPET. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (HR), CCL. He was accompanied by S. S. Lal General Manager (CSR/SD), and Shweta, Manager (CSR/SD), CCL.
From CIPET, the programme was attended by Avneet Kumar Joshi, Mohammad Masoom Haider, Shah Nawaz Ahmad, along with faculty members and trainees.
During the training, the participants were provided both theoretical and practical exposure to modern industrial techniques such as plastics processing and injection moulding, enabling them to become industry-ready professionals and enhancing their employment prospects.
Speaking on the occasion, Director (HR), CCL, Shri Harsh Nath Mishra congratulated the trainees on successfully completing the programme and appreciated their dedication and discipline throughout the training period. He stated that skill development of local youth is one of the key priorities of CCL under its CSR initiatives, and such programmes are aimed at empowering young people with industry-relevant skills and improving their livelihood opportunities. He further expressed confidence that the trained youth would contribute meaningfully to the industrial growth of the region as well as to nation-building.
At the end of the programme, the trainees shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude to CCL and CIPET for successfully organizing the training programme and providing them with an opportunity to build a better career.
