Chhattisgarh cabinet on Thursday passed a proposal to amend the Chhattisgarh District Mineral Trust Rules, 2015 facilitating to dissolve the limitation on the expenditure on infrastructure works conducted by the District Mineral Institute Trust to a certain percentage of the amount received in the trust fund for expenditure.
Following the amendment, the provision of spending 20 percent of the amount available in other priority items of DMF in the general area and 40 percent in the notified area has been abolished. This will speed up the work of infrastructure development, leading to an accelerated socio-economic development in the state.
The other decision taken in the meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel included the departmental order to amend the new fisheries policy was approved by the Cabinet. Now there will be no auction of pond/reservoir for fish farming. Ponds/reservoirs will be given on lease for 10 years, and in the process of allotment, priority will be given to Dhimar, Nishad, Kenvat, Kahar, Kahra, Mallah’s fishermen group and fisheries cooperative society in the general area. Similarly, in Scheduled Tribe notified area, priority will be given to Scheduled Tribe fishermen group and fisheries cooperative society.
According to the amendment proposal, a provision has been made to allot water area to half a hectare instead of maximum one hectare in case of rural pond and 2 hectares instead of 4 hectares in case of irrigation reservoir on the basis of per member/person. The joint team of Cooperative and Fisheries Department will now audit the committees constituted for fishery.
State Government has decided to procure the products manufactured by the forest produce based industries, which were established under the tripartite MoU executed between the State Government, Chhattisgarh State Forest Produce Association and private investors, under the Chhattisgarh herbal brand at a discount of 40 percent and sell it through Sanjeevani and other means. This decision would give a boost to the industries interested in manufacturing forest produce based products. Moreover, this would maintain the quality standards of the products sold under Chhattisgarh Herbal.
The proposal for Reservation Amendment Bill 2022 for Chhattisgarh Public Service, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes was approved.
The proposal for amendment in the reservation bill for admission in Chhattisgarh Educational Institution was approved.
The Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill 2022 was approved for the presentation of the second supplementary estimate year 2022-23 in the Legislative Assembly.
The allotment proposal of 9.308 hectare government land located in Village Serikhedi Raipur Patwari Halka Number 77 was approved.
Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the fixed period for withdrawing cases of ordinary nature pending in various courts of the state in public interest, from December 31, 2017 to December 31, 2018.
The Chief Minister’s proposal to increase the voluntary grant amount from Rs 70 crore to Rs 110 crore was approved.
Cabinet has approved the proposal presented by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department to make amendments in the Revenue Book Circular Section 6 No. 4, as per the amendments made by the Government of India.
