The Chhattisgarh legislative assembly on Friday passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for winning a third straight term.

State’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap tabled the resolution that said: “This House congratulates and wishes the popular and successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji on becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive term.” Under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved great heights on the global level and will be able to secure its place in the ranks of developed countries, it said.

“Under his leadership, Chhattisgarh will also head towards growth,” the resolution added. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said during the discussion on the proposal that Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister for the third straight time is a historic achievement. He said that the Prime Minister is working to fulfill the dreams of Shri Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

“Our Prime Minister removed Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in a peaceful manner. He has made India the fifth largest power in the world economically and has resolved to make this country a developed India by 2047,” he added.

Sai said he got the opportunity to work as Minister of State with Modi ji in his first term as Prime Minister. “I am a witness that the day Shri Modi entered the Parliament, he bowed down and saluted the biggest Panchayat (Parliament) of this country and in his speech on the very first day, he said that he will remain a well-wisher of the poor and will make continuous efforts to raise them above the poverty line. The government will remain dedicated to the poor, this government of mine will work for the poor,” the Chief Minister said.

On August 15, 2014, when Shri Narendra Modi announced the Swachh Bharat Mission from the ramparts of the Red Fort, some people used to ridicule it. Can any Prime Minister think of this work of cleanliness and construction of toilets? Today they are realizing how important this scheme is, Sai said, adding that after the announcement of Swachh Bharat Mission, today one understands the importance of cleanliness.

The Chief Minister added that the Prime Minister has constructed toilets in the houses of crores of families. Sai also spoke about the achievement of Narendra Modi government in the field of providing electricity, opening Jan Dhan accounts, direct bank transfer of beneficiaries’ money, besides effectively controlling deadly COVID pandemic in India with a population of 140 crore and providing more than 200 crore vaccines to prevent Corona.
