Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday dedicated 59 development projects in Raigarh where he landed to inaugurate the Rashtriya Ramayan Mahotsav 2023.
The state government is organising the mega event of National Ramayana Festival in the Ramlila Maidan from June 1 to 3.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the statue of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at the collector’s office premises before participating in the National Ramayana Festival. He unveiled the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari established here, as well as observed the works of Ripa and appreciated the works of the groups associated with it.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister gifted development works worth more than Rs 465 crore to Raigad district. Of it, Baghel laid the foundation stones for 59 development and construction works costing Rs 258 crore 74 lakh 26 thousand besides dedicating 53 projects that entailed investment of Rs 207 crore 4 lakh 49 thousand.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated two Hummer labs in Dharamjaigarh and Pusaur development blocks costing more than Rs 58 lakh to provide health facilities to the people of remote areas. He also inaugurated the cheap medicine shop Dhanwantri Medical in District Hospital Raigarh. With a view to providing guidance to the youth preparing for competitive examinations and providing them a conducive environment for preparation, facilities have been expanded at the Chief Minister’s Youth Center at Gharghoda, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the upgradation works here. A Hi-tech district library with upgradation of facilities for the students was also dedicated at the function.
