Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s grandson availed the benefits of Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana.
The scheme, which is the brainchild of Baghel and one of the flagship programmes of his government, has received overwhelming response in the state. It facilitates processing important government documents at the doorstep. All that the beneficiary is required to do is to dial 14545.
On receiving the call, the centre would fix an appointment date for the Mitan (friend in Chhattisgarh dialect) to reach at the door step of the applicant. The Mitan would verify the required documents and upload them on the portal. The verified documents would be sent online to the departments concerned that would conduct the final scrutiny and issue the sought document.
Over 96,000 people have availed the services under the scheme that came into being from May 1, 2022. The six-month-old grandson of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today became one of them.
“Like you all, the Mitan reached my residence and enrolled my grandson for Aadhaar,” Baghel said in a tweet. The Chief Minister shared the picture (posted above) and said it gave immense pleasure to see people getting a number of services at their doorstep just by dialing a number.
