Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday celebrated his birthday with little ones at a simple event in the government girls home in the state capital.
Sai reached the government-run Balika Griha located at Khamardih in the heart of Raipur city and celebrated his birthday with simplicity with children. Sai shared his special day with them and gave the message that being a partner in the happiness of every section of the society is the identity of true leadership.
The Chief Minister cut the cake with the girls in the Balika Griha, spent time with them and listened to their innocent laughter and talks with affection. During this, the girls put forward their small wishes in front of him, which also included the demand for a sound box.
Sai approved it immediately and presented the gift to the Balika Griha. Apart from this, he announced to provide Rs 10 lakh for computers, water coolers and other arrangements, so that there is no inconvenience in the education of the girls living here.
The Chief Minister shared memories of his school life on this occasion. He said the primary school of his village was of Khaprail (clay tiles), and water used to drip during rainy days. He told the girls that they are lucky that they have got a better hostel and a good environment for studies. He inspired the girls to study with dedication and hard work and explained that education is the key to success.
Sai, giving examples of the life struggles of great personalities of the country and the world, said that instead of being afraid of struggles, they should make it their strength. He assured the girls that the state government will provide all possible help for their bright future.
It is worth mentioning that at present 57 girls are living in the Balika Griha, where free accommodation, food, education and medical facilities are being provided to them by the Women and Child Development Department.
MLA Purandar Mishra, Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Smt. Shammi Abidi, Raipur Collector Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh and other officials were present.
