After the ‘Nava Saugat’ program organized for distribution of incentives to Mitanin sisters in the capital Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had lunch with the Mitanins, female friends in local dialect who are associated as community health volunteers.

Sai occupied the place in a row with Mitanin Jayamani Nag from Bastar Darbha and Dasni Bai of Baiga tribe of Kawardha. The delicious menu included Dahi Mirchi, Laai Badi, Bijori, Rice Papad, Chana, Lal Bhaji, Jimikanda, Munga Ki Sabzi, Idhar Kadhi, Stuffed Bitter Gourd, Rice, Kodo Rice, Roti, Ragi Laddu, Andarsa, Gulgula, Pidia, Mattha etc. Fruit salad was also served at the beginning of the meal.

The Chief Minister enjoyed the food with great gusto with the Mitanins. During lunch, Sai inquired about the well-being of Jayamani Nag and Dasni Bai with great affection and informed them that now the incentive amount will be directly credited to their bank account every month.

While talking to Jayamani Nag, Sai said that he had been to Bastar many times, but did not get a chance to taste the Chapra chutney. Jayamani Nag said that now whenever he comes to Bastar, he must taste the sour-spicy Chapra chutney.

Earlier, addressing a large gathering of Mitanins at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur today, Sai said his government had been working with complete transparency and he was moving forward on the path of good governance in the state. He said that in this journey of his, about 72 thousand Mitanins working across the state have also made an invaluable contribution, due to which the state has succeeded in achieving unprecedented improvement in maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate.

On this occasion, Sai gave a new gift to the Mitanins and started transferring their incentive amount directly to their bank account every month. The Chief Minister transferred the Mitanin incentive amount directly to the bank account from the state level by pressing the remote button. With this transfer, Rs 90 crore 8 lakh 84 thousand 20 was transferred to the accounts of Mitanin sisters across the state. This amount includes the share of the Center and the State as well as the Mitanin incentive amount. This amount was paid simultaneously from the state level to 69 thousand 607 Mitanins, 3 thousand 448 Mitanin trainers, 289 block coordinators, 176 health panchayat coordinators, 26 urban area coordinators and 285 Mitanin help desk coordinators.
