Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid rich tribute to the great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar by offering flowers on his photograph on his birth anniversary at his residence office here today.
State’s Industry Minister Lakhanlal Devangan, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MLA Dharamlal Kaushik and public representatives were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that Veer Savarkar’s entire life was dedicated to the service of the motherland and the reconstruction of the nation. Veer Savarkar was not only a leading warrior of the freedom struggle, but he was also a social reformer, historian, writer and visionary politician. He raised his voice against social stereotypes and laid the foundation stone for the creation of modern India.
Sai added that the toughest years spent by Savarkar ji in Cellular Jail are proof of his indomitable courage, patriotism and mental strength. His sacrifice is inscribed in golden letters in the history of Indian freedom struggle.
The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to take inspiration from the thoughts and life values of Veer Savarkar and move forward considering national service as their ultimate duty. Veer Savarkar’s life is a living example of self-sacrifice, dedication and patriotism for every Indian.
