Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today unveiled the State Government Calendar for the year 2026 at a brief ceremony held at his Residence Office in the state capital- Raipur.
The year 2026 is being observed by the State Government as ‘Mahtari Gaurav Varsh’, and the calendar has been designed around this central theme, reflecting the collective aim towards building a strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh.
The main cover of the calendar prominently features the five revered Shakti Peeths of Chhattisgarh — Maa Bamleshwari of Dongargarh, Maa Mahamaya of Ratanpur, Maa Danteshwari of Dantewada, Maa Chandrahansini of Chandrapur, and Maa Kudargarhi of Surajpur. The portraits of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai have also been included. The background artistically depicts the temples of Sirpur and Rajim, tribal culture, Madheshwar Hill, and the graphical representation of majestic Chitrakote Waterfall, symbolising the rich cultural and natural heritage of Chhattisgarh.
Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that respect for “MatraShakti” and empowerment of women remain the highest priority of the State Government. Observed as Mahtari Gaurav Varsh, the year 2026 is dedicated to the dignity, safety, and economic self-reliance of women. He said the government calendar, prepared in this spirit, stands as a strong representation of women’s empowerment, the State’s developmental priorities, and its achievements. It also encapsulates various welfare schemes and social initiatives that play a vital role in shaping a strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh.
The monthly pages of the calendar highlight key government schemes and campaigns. The month of January showcases the major Shakti Peeths of the state. February highlights the National Intensified Pulse Polio Campaign, while March is dedicated to the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. April features Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, May highlights Tendu Leaf Collection and the Charan Paduka Scheme, and June focuses on the Beti Bachao–Beti Padhao campaign. July presents the provision of PDS ration cards issued in the name of women heads of households. August highlights the Raksha Bandhan festival, September features the Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme, and October is dedicated to the theme of Shaurya (Valour and Bravery). November is presented under the spirit of “Seva Hi Sankalp” (Service as Resolve), while December symbolises women empowerment.
Present on the occasion of the release of the State Government Calendar 2026 were Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Cabinet Minister Rajesh Agrawal, Secretary, Public Relations Rohit Yadav, Secretary to Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, and Commissioner, Public Relations Dr Ravi Mittal.
