Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House and congratulated him on his third term as the Prime Minister of the country.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @2047 ‘Vision Document’ and said that it is being prepared by the State NITI Aayog, which will be dedicated to the people of the state on November 1.
The Chief Minister also informed the Prime Minister about the action taken in anti-Maoist operations in the last six months. He said that a joint action plan is being prepared and action is being taken to eradicate the Maoist problem.
Giving information about the Niyad Nellanar Yojana (Your Ideal Village), the Chief Minister said that under the scheme, work is being done to weaken the base of Naxalites and restore mutual trust between the government administration and the villagers. Under this scheme, currently, 23 camps have been opened, covering 90 villages and there are plans to start 29 camps in the future.
Giving information about the steps taken towards fulfilling Modi’s guarantee, the CM said that in the first meeting of the Council of Ministers after the formation of the new government, it was decided to provide immediate approval for the construction of houses for 18 lakh 12 thousand 743 families in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). At present 1 lakh 6 thousand 777 houses are under construction, which have already been approved.
The Chief Minister said that under the Paddy Production Incentive Scheme, Rs 3,667 crore has been given to the farmers for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16. At the same time, under Krishak Unnati Yojana, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred Rs 13,287 crore to the bank accounts of farmers, benefitting over 24.73 lakh farmers.
The Chief Minister said that Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been started to promote economic self-reliance and empowerment of women in the state. Under this scheme, till now 70 lakh women have been given four months’ financial assistance amounting to Rs 2618 crore.
Informing the Prime Minister about the Shri Ram Lala Darshan Scheme, Sai said that an MOU has been signed with IRCTC for the scheme under which over 20 thousand beneficiaries from the state will be taken on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya every year.
