Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be attending the funeral of Mulayam Singh Yadav in Saifai village of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh.
The last rites of the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Defence Minister would be held on Tuesday. The 83-year-old Samajwadi leader passed away in a private hospital today morning.
A battery of senior leaders would be attending the funeral of Mulayam Singh Yadav. According to Chhattisgarh officials, Baghel would be going to Saifai Tuesday morning. He would return to the Chhattisgarh capital the same day.
Baghel expressed grief over the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav and termed him as Dhartiputra (son of soil). In a tweet, Baghel said Mulayam Singh Yadav served the people as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Defence Minister. His demise had demolished a foundation stone of democracy, Baghel said, adding that he fought against the communal forces throughout his political life.
