Security forces achieved a significant breakthrough in an ongoing anti-Maoist operation in Bijapur district on Wednesday.
During a joint search operation, the forces neutralised 12 Maoists, while the search operation continues across the region.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage to DRG Bijapur’s Head Constable Monu Wadri, Constable Dukaru Gonde and Constable Ramesh Sodi, who attained martyrdom during the encounter. He prayed that the bereaved families find strength in this moment of profound loss and that the departed souls rest in peace.
The Chief Minister stated that two other injured personnel are out of danger, and all necessary medical arrangements are being provided to them. He wished them a speedy and complete recovery.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reiterated that the sacrifice of the brave personnel “will not go in vain”. He stated that this decisive success against Naxalites is a clear indication that “the end of Red terror is now very near”. He reiterated that the state government and security forces remain firmly committed to the mission of “completely eliminating Naxalism.”
He added that the campaign will continue with complete determination “until peace, security and development reach every village of Bastar.”
