Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai landed on ground zero in Bemetara district today on the second day of his tour in the third phase of Sushasan Tihar.
A photograph of Chief Minister with a cute child on lap with smiling interaction highjacked the show.
Sai suddenly reached village Sahaspur of Bemetara district and took direct feedback of the schemes from the villagers. He told the villagers that he had come to know their problems. There was no pre-plan for the Chief Minister to come to village Sahaspur.
When the sound of a helicopter suddenly echoed in the village, the astonished villagers came out of their houses. A crowd of people gathered to meet their chief.
The Chief Minister interacted with the villagers in Sahaspur sitting on a cot under the shade of an old banyan tree. He inquired from the people about the implementation of government schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Nal Jal Yojana, paddy procurement, education of children in school and other schemes.
He said that the government had just completed one and a half years, during this period they have fulfilled many guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the first cabinet after the formation of the government, they approved 18 lakh houses. Farmers were given 2 years’ pending bonus. Paddy is also being purchased at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, Sai added.
The Chief Minister said that this was the third phase of Sushasan Tihar. In the initial stages, applications were taken from the people regarding their problems. The applications are being continuously resolved by the officials. “Now I myself have come among all of you with the officials of the government so that you can convey your views directly to me,” he said.
In the Chief Minister’s Chaupal, Mrs. Poonam Sahu expressed her views on the help received from Mahtari Vandan. The Chief Minister handed over the mike to Poonam. She said that it helped a lot in fulfilling the needs of the family and children. The amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana is received regularly every month.
On the demand of the villagers, he approved a new building for the Higher Secondary School of the village. Along with this, he announced the beautification of the Shiva temple and Hanuman temple complex built by the Phani Nagavanshi kings in the 13th-14th century. The Chief Minister said that the government would develop it as a tourist spot. “I will personally attend the Mahashivratri fair,” the Chief Minister said.
He also announced a 33 KV power substation in Sahaspur.
MLA Ishwar Sahu, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh and Secretary to the Chief Minister P Dayanand were present on this occasion.
