Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai seeking blessings from the Shankaracharyas

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Monday paid courtesy visit to Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth and Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Sadanand Saraswati of Sharda Peeth.

Sai reached the Shankaracharya Ashram at Boriyakala in the capital Raipur today morning and took the blessings of Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji of Jyotish Peeth and Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji of Sharda Peeth. The Shankaracharyas have reached Raipur to participate in the Sant Samagam of Rajim Kumbh underway in the holy city—about 40 km from here.

Apart from Rajim Kumbh, they will also participate in other religious programs to be held in the state. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister briefed the Shankaracharyas about the Rajim Kumbh and said that this time Rajim Kumbh Kalp had being organized in a very grand manner. Saints from all over the country have gathered here.

“The people of Chhattisgarh are very fortunate to have received your blessings on this occasion,” Sai said. The objective of Sant Samagam is being fulfilled through Rajim Kumbh which will increase people’s awareness towards Sanatan tradition, he added.

The Shankaracharyas blessed the Chief Minister on this occasion. Sai said that the way preparations have been made in Rajim Kumbh to carry forward the Sanatan tradition and the Sant Samagam will definitely further improve the spiritual environment in Chhattisgarh.

The magnificent event is being organized in Sangam city Rajim, the holy land of Lord Shri Rajeev Lochan Ji and Kuleshwar Mahadev Ji, which has definitely created an enthusiastic atmosphere for the devotees. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankaram Verma was also present on this occasion.
