Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday paid rich tributes to former President, educationist and philosopher Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary.
Sai offered flowers on his photograph on the occasion of his birth anniversary at his residence office. He congratulated and wished all the teachers and the people of the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The Chief Minister remembered all his gurus on the occasion.
Sai said the occasion of Dr Radhakrishnan’s birthday had been celebrated as Teachers’ Day across the country. He has been a great philosopher and teacher. His contribution in taking the country forward in the field of education is incomparable.
The Chief Minister said: “Whatever I have achieved in life, my gurus have played a big role in it. I have received the blessings of the gurus at every stage of life. Teachers prepare you to give the right direction to life and fight challenges.”
Sai said that teachers play a vital role in preparing good citizens by inculcating high moral values in the lives of students. “I am confident that teachers will continue to play an important role in giving a positive direction to the country and society by following in the footsteps of Dr Radhakrishnan,” he added.
