Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday paid rich tributes to India’s first Industry Minister, great educationist and founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his Balidan Divas,

Sai offered flowers to his portrait on his death anniversary at his residence office. The Chief Minister remembered Dr Mookerjee’s incomparable contribution to nation building and saluted him.

Asserting that Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee dedicated every moment of his life to realize the vision of unity, social justice and self-reliant India of the country, Sai said he was not only a skilled organizer but also a visionary national leader who laced Indian politics in a strong thread of nationalism and cultural identity.

Sai said that through the establishment of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr Mookerjee gave birth to an ideology that bestowed the country a new vision to think and work in national interest. His thoughts still give direction to the democratic consciousness.

The Chief Minister said that the life of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee teaches that serving the nation is a lifelong sadhana and penance. His dedication and high ideals are a beacon of inspiration for all even today.

Sai said that they were all determined to follow the path shown by him and build a prosperous, strong and self-reliant India.
