Chhattisgarh CM urges trade bodies to give priority to local youths in employment

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai urged the industrialists and traders to give priority to local residents in employment generated in their organisation.

Addressing the 64th annual conference of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday, Sai wished constant progress and development of business and industries in Chhattisgarh. “May all your businesses prosper and progress,” Sai said and exhorted to give priority to local residents in employment generated by your industry and trade.

The Chief Minister said, there are about 12 lakh businessmen in the entire state and industries have a huge contribution in boosting the economy of Chhattisgarh. He said that Chhattisgarh is a rice bowl. The land here is fertile and the farmers are hardworking. There is bumper production of paddy here.

He added that Chhattisgarh also has huge reserves of mineral wealth. Valuable minerals like iron, coal, tin, bauxite are available here. The state is also a leader in the collection of minor forest produce. There is also adequate availability of water and electricity. Subsequently, there are immense possibilities for development of industries in the state.

Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has worked to create a business-friendly environment in the last few years. Many decisions have been taken to promote the development of industries, which has made business easy and convenient.

The Chief Minister assured that the state government will also work dedicatedly to promote business. India’s resolve to become the third largest economy in the world will also definitely be fulfilled, Sai said, adding that on the auspicious occasion of the Pran Prathistha of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya, fragrant rice and vegetables were sent by the businessmen of Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, the business community have also done the work of arranging Bhandara for the devotees in Ayodhya Dham for 60 days.

Sai reiterated that his government was committed to fulfill all the guarantees of Modi. The welcome address was delivered by Amar Parwani, President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Besides the two Deputy Chief Minister, Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Chhattisgarh Ministers Brijmohan Agrawal, Dayaldas Baghel, MLA Purander Mishra, Chairman of National Traders Welfare Board Sunil Singhi and others were present on the occasion.
