Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed the state machinery to ensure best health management for the victims who met with a road accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway Saturday.
The victims from the Durg district in Chhattisgarh were on a pilgrimage. The ill-fated bus carrying 65 devotees met with an accident at Nasirpur on Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh early this morning. Three pilgrims died while another 40 were injured. The injured were admitted to the Shikohabad District Hospital and Firozabad Medical College.
Sai, who is on a visit to Delhi, expressed deep sorrow over the accident. The Chief Minister condoled the death of pilgrims and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
In order to ensure better medical care and management, Sai directed state’s Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Lundra MLA Prabodh Minj and Residential Commissioner at New Delhi Smt. Shruti Singh to reach Firozabad. They have been directed to coordinate with the local authorities and provide all necessary help to the injured pilgrims, and the family members of the deceased.
