Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today sent Diwali hampers to the family members of the martyrs with a message that the entire state had been standing with them to celebrate the festival of lights.
The family had lost their dear ones in the deadly Maoists attacks. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached out to the family members on Diwali with a greeting card, gift hamper and crackers. In his message, the Chief Minister said that the sacrifice of the martyrs would always be remembered.
The task to deliver the same was given to the senior police officials. Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range. Sundarraj P and Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena visited the house of Shaheed Mahipal Singh (constable) and Shaheed Shobharam Sahu (Assistant Sub-Inspector). The officers met the kin of the martyrs and inquired about their well-being while handing over Diwali greetings and gifts on behalf of the Chief Minister.
The Narayanpur Superintendent of Police, Sadanand Kumar along with senior officials of the district visited the residences of Shahid Pankaj Suryavanshi in Nayapara, Shahid Sukhchand Sahu in Tehsilpara and Shahid Samaru Vatti in Kumharpara of Narayanpur. The officials spent time with the family members and handed over diyas (small oil lamps made of baked clay), sweets and crackers. They also delivered the message of the Chief Minister and Chhattisgarh Home Minister.
State’s Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and Director General of Police Ashok Juneja have also sent personal messages to the families of martyrs, greeting them on the occasion of Diwali.
