Chhattisgarh’s economy is expected to grow at 8 per cent at constant prices (2011-12) and reach Rs 2,89,08,241 lakh in 2022-23.
The growth is higher than the national project of 7 per cent.
The Bhupesh Baghel government today the Economic Survey of Chhattisgarh for the fiscal 2022-23, projecting growth in all the sectors. The growth in the agriculture sector (agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishing), industry sector (mining and quarrying, construction, manufacturing and electricity, gas & water supply) and service sector are expected to grow 5.93 per cent, 7.83 per cent and 9.21 per cent respectively over the previous year.
“As per advance estimate, the GSDP at current price (market prices) is likely to increase to Rs 4,57,60,826 lakh in financial year 2022-23 as against Rs 4,06,41,582 lakh as estimated for 2021-22, registering a growth of 12.60 per cent,” the survey report said.
The per capita income, according to advance estimates, is likely to reach Rs 1,33,898 in 2022-23, an increase of 10.93 per cent over previous year’s Rs 1,20,704.
As per quick estimates, the GSDP at constant prices of the previous financial year 2021-22 had recorded a growth of 8.46 per cent.
The state budget for the financial year 2023-24 would be presented on Monday.
