The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Chhattisgarh has raised a Rs 1.4 crore demand on Korba-based district health society for unpaid provident fund and pension dues.
The outstanding of the 225 beneficiaries were since for a period from September 2008 to January 2016. The EPFO Chhattisgarh completed the proceedings in the case under section 7A of the Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.
The retirement fund body raised Rs 10469511 for the default period on district health society, Korba after taking cognizance for failing to deposit the contribution.
The establishment is directed to deposit the outstanding, as determined, within fifteen days from receipt of the order failing which action may be taken in accordance with relevant provisions of the Act to recover the amount without further notice, the EPFO regional office, Raipur, said.
