Chhattisgarh:  Gaurav Diwas marks Bhupesh’s four-year governance

A series of programmes was held across the state on Saturday to mark the completion of four years of the Bhupesh Baghel government in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced three ambitious projects on the occasion focused on environment and education. Besides Chief Minister’s Tree Estate scheme with an investment of Rs 100 crore, Baghel announced another scheme worth Rs 1000 crore for the maintenance and upgradation of all schools, hostels, ashrams, government buildings across the state.

The Industrial Training Institutions (ITI) will be upgraded under the ‘Swami Atmanand Excellent ITI Scheme’ to improve the level of technical education. The state government will infuse Rs 1200 crore in the project.

The Chief Minister was addressing a virtual meeting on the occasion of ‘Chhattisgarh Gaurav Divas’ held on December 17 to celebrate the completion of the state government’s four-year term. The special programmes will be held in Gauthans (livestock sheds built under the ambitious Godhan Nyay Yojana), tendu patta and paddy procurement centre besides primary cooperative societies in the rural areas.

The villagers will be informed about major agricultural schemes of the government such as interest-free loan scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, etc. Collectors have been instructed to invite all ministers, MPs, and MLAs of the district along with local public representatives.

Greeting the people on the occasion, Baghel narrated the success story of the government and listed out the achievements in the last 4 years. He said soon after forming the government, the Congress government waived off the loans. Farmers in Chhattisgarh were now getting the highest price for the paddy in the entire country. From the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana to the landless agricultural laborers, the government has run different schemes.

The Chief Minister said that the government had completed unimaginable work by purchasing cow dung. The schemes of the government have directly benefited the common people resulting in their prosperity. “We are moving forward in the direction of fulfilling the dreams of our ancestors for the development and prosperity of the state of Chhattisgarh,” Baghel said, adding that the state government had been working for the welfare of all sections of the society that include farmers, laborers, youth, women, elderly etc.
